I was overcome by low self esteem at an early age. After my father abandoned me as a toddler, I started searching for why with the wrong question; “What is wrong with me?”. With decades of me conditioning my mind to focus on what’s wrong, it took years to discover that the power to STOP questioning myself was within me.
I was a standout football player in high school who went on to play football on full scholarship at James Madison University. From my youth, me and my family talked about becoming wealthy in order to get free from the financial restrictions of our household. When I was the only one to get a chance to play sports at the collegiate level in my family, I felt it was my purpose to make it pro.
After two years in school, I flunked off the football team and faced the most challenging times of my life. Feeling like I failed my family, I had reached such a low point, that I contemplated whether my life was worth living. It was at that point, that I decided to break my addiction of searching for “What is wrong with me?” and finally start searching for “The greatness in me”.
After a decade of searching through books, mentorship, therapy, and personal development speakers, I was able to discover my greatness and continue to develop in it. After experiencing the benefits of discovering my greater self, I became inspired to help others do the same. In 2015, I went through training to become a public speaker. Following my training, I started sharing my message with local youth programs, football teams, and schools to help people overcome helplessness.
In 2016, my sense of purpose increased when my son came into the world. In 2019, I launched my own after school program called TimeOut. Through this sports themed personal development program, I help the youth develop their ability on how to start believing in their greatness.
